On Sunday the Cats Whiskers team got together to share ideas and practise new face painting designs. It was a really relaxed day with lots of laughs and more than a little creativity!

UWE Freshers Weekend

At the beginning of January, as the students went back to University, the Cats Whiskers team of face painters and balloon modellers returned to UWE for the freshers party.

Len (the other Helen), our balloon modelling expert, excelled herself with a spectacular top hat for Aled - chief Angel - and Sharon was on form with henna and face paint as the pictures show!

Congratulations to Simon at Blue Skies Photography!

Simon from Blue Skies Photography has let us know that he received a Gold Award in the Commercial Photography Category for SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) at the end of last year for his photograph of my body painted baseball guy!

Happy New Year!

I hope that you have all recovered from the fun and excesses of Christmas and the New Year! Now that the children are back at school and routine has returned in the Cats Whiskers office, it seems like it was a very long time ago!!

The Christmas designs are once again back in the seasonal file and we're looking forward to the weather warming up so that we can dust off the Spring and Easter face painting designs and balloon modelling creations for our customers.

We're planning a big training session for all of the Cats Whiskers team this coming weekend to develop some new and exciting designs for the new year. We hope you'll like them!

Sharon did amazingly well to get onto the Finalists page of the Snazaroo Halloween Free for All http://www.snazaroo.us/08/8halloween5.htm back in December and was pipped to the prizes by some stunning work! We're still very proud of her.

We look forward to seeing you all again in 2009!

Sharon's a Finalist!!

Sharon has once again made it into the finals of the SNAZAROO Halloween Free for All!!

This is the latest Power Rangers mask - Jungle Fury! We'll be putting this one in the face painting design book for next year! LOL!

In the wars.... That's Star Wars!!

We get to meet the most amazing people when we work and this weekend was no exception.

I was face painting and balloon modelling at a store launch for a local toy company in Weston Super Mare this weekend. It was a great day and they had five Star Wars characters along for the day to promote the launch. It caused a huge amount of attention and it wasn't just the children who were excited to see them and have their picture taken!! Needless to say I was busy creating light sabres from balloons and face painting Darth Maul and the Storm Troopers!!



Makes a change from Rudolf at this time of the year. ;)

Our Christmas party

The Cats Whiskers team got together this week for our team Christmas curry!! We descended on the fantastic Tamarind Indian Restaurant for our celebration, much to the surprise of the staff as some of us were face painted for the evening!! LOL! Well, it would have been rude not to!
